NDMLAD is a Unique, Innovative and Progressive step towards achieving digital enablement of Education Records. NDMLAD will develop an online portfolio of all education certificates across Academic Institutes (Universities / Institutes / Boards) which can be submitted easily for employment, higher education, and loan and is easily trusted and verified. NDMLAD integrates directly with Boards / Universities which issue Certificates and hence ensures Authenticity of Certificate Records.

NDMLAD will provide a technology edge to academic institutions. They can issue and maintain all their records in electronic format without incurring investment, costs and maintenance efforts. University / Boards will directly lodge the academic awards in NDMLAD system in a secure online process. NDMLAD brings in a strong deterrence mechanism in the form of online verifiability and hence helps to eliminate fake and forged certificates.

Institutions can also provide all certificate related services to Students and Verifiers digitally without having to deploy manpower and computing resources. The certificates are digitally delivered to the students and can be easily verified online and hence evoke trust and confidence.

The records will identify the details of the students to whom such records belong by indicating the Aadhaar number of the certificate holder. Records can be accessed by students, and verifiers (academic institutions granting admission for higher education, prospective employers,background checkers etc.) based on consent of the student.

NDMLAD is a system for Academic Certificates and specifically addresses the needs of the Academic Institutions. NDMLAD does not expect Academic Institution AI) to have an elaborate IT system and infrastructure to support online generation and access to Certificates. NDMLAD expects AI to provide the data to NDMLAD in standard format and from there onwards NDMLAD will manage the records and serve the users.
